B12K : The Google Nexus One

Google has decided to launch its own Smartphone. Called Nexus One, presented by the Californian giant of the Internet. This “smartphone” features a high resolution screen of 3.7 inches (9.4 centimeters), a processor running at 1 GHz and a camera of 5 megapixels.
Manufactured by The Taiwanese HTC, it can be purchased directly on the U.S. site of Google (no subscription with an operator) for 529 dollars or 179 dollars with a two-year contract with T-Mobile USA.
Until now, Google had limited itself to providing a free operating system for mobile phones manufacturers, commonly known as Android. A year after its launch it has achieved a great breakthrough, with approximately 3.5% market share. The Google executives had repeatedly that they didn’t want to sell a phone directly .so why have they crossed this boundaries today?
The dazzling success of the iPhone is for something . Two and a half years after its launch, the multimedia phone from Apple has already sold over 30 million copies and is almost one quarter of the total revenues of the brand. Apple has also succeeded with the iPhone, to finally take off the use of mobile Internet, these online services which are accessed from a phone even while moving. Thanks to the “AppStore”, a virtual store accessible by a click, which offers more than 100 000 online services, free or paid, developed by third party publishers (games, news, etc..).
However, the Apple platform owns everything : the computer group controls everything, from the design of the device to its operating system, through the payment system and the contents of the AppStore.
For Google, the main goal this is not to let Apple continue to gain ground in mobile Internet because, if as analysts predict, in few years there will be more connections to the Internet via a mobile than via a computer the stakes are enormous.
The Nexus One should help Google to better promote its Internet services on mobile. The search engine, of course, which ensures its dominance in the world of Internet (over 65% market share), its email service (Gmail), Mapping (Maps), its digital library, etc. . Without that the access to these services is controlled by Apple.
Will The Nexus One be the next “iPhone killer”? Not at that stage, according to experts, who hail its technical performance (the speed of its processor, the quality of the screen) but didn’t find anything revolutionary.
B12K : Customize Google Chrome

Many of you have had a crush once they heard that Google was about to launch a browser , and indeed once it was released , a lot of people were upset by the fact that there was no way to customize their browser , a bit like it’s possible to do with Firefox, but now things are about to change :
After an announcement regarding the addition of a real-time data synchronization feature (including favorites), integrating an O3D and Native Client, Google has added themes (or skins) to Chrome.
A total of 29 themes, which are plug-ins created to customize the look of the browser, and that are now available with version 3 of Chrome .
Such extensions are already widely available on a browser like Firefox, as the synchronization feature with Weave, or using a plugin like Xmark. This is also the case for Opera.
Google is expected to mobilize developers to enrich the list of extensions for Chrome 3, and before that stimulate the adoption of its browser which is far behind Internet Explorer, Firefox and Safari in terms of market share .
Installing a theme is not easy: you download a file. CRX, then load the Google Chrome theme and offers you the possibility to return to the default theme.
You can’t preview the themes before installing them and there is no interface for managing themes. The only way to uninstall themes , extensions or change the theme is by typing chrome://extensions/ in your address bar.
For now, the gallery contains only themes created by Google, but in the near future, you can create your own theme and upload it in the gallery.

After it had started stirring our curiosity about the fourth generation of the Black Label range, and that is encompassing the LG Chocolate, LG Shine and LG Secret, LG Electronics says more about the LG Chocolate BL40, a very special and unique phone, that all the world is desperately waiting for .
Indeed, this phone is distingue by its 4 ” touch screen in 21:9 format and a 800 x 345 pixels resolution, which is rather rare for a mobile phone and which had the advantage of giving a very elongated aspect . This type of screen is designed to provide a unique experience of mobile video and web browsing .
The new LG Chocolate BL40 can also display web pages of any width without the need of a horizontal scroll bar. The LG has a BL40 Dual Screen interface that can divide the screen in two and display two types of content simultaneously .
Only few technical details of this new model are known , except that it will embark the interface 3D S-Class, it will have a WiFi wireless connectivity and Bluetooth and will be compatible 3G / HSDPA 7.2 Mbps.
There is also a module A-GPS and a 5 megapixel camera on the back of the phone. LG announced a launch for the third quarter in 54 countries for a price not yet known.

B12K : Google Chrome Os.

Google Inc. the ultimate leader in the world of search engine, is about to launch a bomb: Chrome OS, an operating system which has as one and unique aim, to compete with Windows which of course has up to now the majority of the market shares. This is not the first time that Google tries to face Microsoft’s supremacy, indeed Google has already developed an operating system called Android but that was only dedicated to Smartphone.
Planned to be released for the second half of 2010, chrome will have the advantage of being free and fast and can be installed in few seconds. But the main advantages ( or inconvenient ) is that Unlike the others operating system that you install on your hard disc or you load from a CD, now everything happens online or we can say in other terms that Internet is becoming your operating system.
What Can we Expect From This OS
Google brings to the fore with the launching of Chrome Os words such as Speed, simplicity, freedom and security. Since it is web-based and open source, Google believes it will not (or just a little) to be a victim of viruses.
we are all expecting a lot from this new operating system, first because we all know that Google team has everything to come up with something new and fresh , but will they be able to overtake Microsoft’s supremacy , all what I can say is that they have a lot of work laying ahead .
