B12K : Opera 10.00 (Unite)
Yep it’s official , Opera is now launching the 10th version  of its browser with an intention of revolutionizing the world of files exchanging.
But what’s so special about that ???? This version will include a web server, called “Opera Unite”. You will No more need to upload your files to a server so you can share them with your friends, or even configure your FTP access. Users wishing to access the content you share will do it directly on your computer!
Thus the special thing Is that, the computer now will play the role of both the client and the server, with no need of a third-party server. This server will also be able of integrating HTML pages, and share files easily.
With this new version you will be able to :
- -Experience a new type of File sharing: to share a file, you’ll just need to set access rights and The server will automatically generate a URL from where the file can be downloaded.
- - Photo Sharing to share photos.
- - Media Player to listen or share your music with streaming.
- - Web Server to host your Web site on your own machine.
- - The Lounge to discuss with other opera users.
- - The Fridge to send virtual post-it
However, a big problem remains: if you host your website on your own computer you’ll have to be sure that you will not be disconnected , and of course you’ll have to leave your computer on 24 hours per day , your mom or your wife will not appreciate that, I’m sure
I’m sure that this version of the Opera will push a lot of users to let down its concurrent such as Internet explorer, Firefox or Google chrome.
To know more about this new version of opera featuring its new component Unite, I invite you all to watch this video that will for sure show you some of how yout browser will be able to do soon .
